Johnny Scroggs is a singer/song writer
from Western, NC. Johnny has been writing songs since 1991. He has been recording
his songs since 2001. He has written and recorded hundreds of songs since then. The
Johnny Scroggs Band plays acoustic versions of these songs at venues across the western North Carolina region.
With influences of rock, pop and folk, it is hard to classify the unique
sound this band makes. The main instruments played are guitar, bass, and drums though it is not unusual to
hear an occasional piano, banjo, djimbe, mandolin, or didgeridoo. The music incorporates a variety of rythms and
themes. The vocals vary from soft, soothing to attention grabbing. The best way to describe the music is to play
it!
